Job Title: Assistant Manager - Printing and Pre-Press

Commercial Packaging is a leading global packaging supplier dedicated to helping companies reduce risks and inventory costs associated with packaging. Our company has a strong presence in the industry, with a global supply chain and a commitment to quality processes.

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager - Printing and Pre-Press to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in managing pre-press activities and ensuring quality control throughout the print production process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage pre-press processes, including preparing artwork for printing and ensuring accurate color separations.
  • Oversee color management and press quality control to ensure consistency and adherence to color standards.
  • Work closely with the cylinder process for both Rotogravure and Flexographic printing to ensure precise print quality.
  • Manage print production workflows, from design approval to final output, ensuring efficient and accurate execution of print jobs.
  • Conduct press checks and quality inspections to maintain high-quality standards throughout the print production process.
  • Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to optimize print quality and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, printing technologies, and color management techniques.
  • Travel to different printing sites as required to oversee and manage print quality and pre-press activities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the printing industry, specifically within packaging, with a strong background in pre-press, color management, and print production.
  • Highly skilled in art pre-press processes, including color separation, file preparation, and quality checks.
  • In-depth knowledge of color management techniques and press quality control standards.
  • Familiarity with the cylinder process for both Rotogravure and Flexographic printing methods.
  • Extensive experience managing print production workflows, ensuring efficient and high-quality output.
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot print quality issues effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams to achieve print production goals.
  • Flexible and willing to travel frequently to various printing locations as required by the role.
