Culinary Specialist

Job Title: Culinary Associate

• The primary function of this role is to provide culinary support to our team. We are seeking a skilled and experienced culinary professional who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients for cooking, washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, weighing and measuring ingredients, and preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.

• Other key responsibilities include operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, testing foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, monitoring food quality while preparing food, setting up and breaking down work stations, serving food in proper portions onto proper receptacles, washing and disinfecting kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment, checking and ensuring the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.

• Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least 1 year of related work experience

• No supervisory experience required

• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance

• Standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods of time or entire work shifts

• Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
