Job Title: Digital Transformation Practice Lead

Job Summary:

WAISL Limited is seeking a highly experienced Digital Transformation Practice Lead to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving digital transformation and innovation in the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical architecture and development activities for various COTS and in-house applications.
  • Design and architecture for solutions, in line with the technology roadmap agreed with client and WAISL Business teams.
  • Work with partners and/or internal engineering teams for building and testing solutions.
  • Work with business leads for vendor identification, preparing product requirement documents, agreeing project plans and timelines, commercials, and success criteria.
  • Build and train a team of developers and designers needed to implement PoCs, MVPs, and solutions, and take accountability for in-time and quality delivery.
  • Modify the technical design/code basis test results and inputs received from business teams of client and WAISL.
  • Coordinate with vendors to install necessary hardware at site, integrating applications with airport systems, as required.
  • Once the solution is complete to client satisfaction, work with heads towards productizing it into a marketable solution which can be offered to existing and potential clients.

Requirements:

  • 18+ years of related work experience in product/platform/solutions development with 8 years in digital solutions and support role in IT Services & Operations, Aviation, and transport industries experience will be advantageous.
  • Handling end-to-end projects such as IT solutions for clients including design, architecture, development, POC, solutioning, and deployment.
  • Knowledge of RFP/RFQ management, requirement understanding, solutioning, sizing, and impact analysis, measurement, and high-level estimation, maintenance, and impact analysis, risk.
  • Expertise in tools such as NetBeans, Eclipse, CVS, SQL Developer, MS Project, Tomcat, Glassfish.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C++, Unix, Python.
  • Working in a multi-vendor setup.
  • Experience in architecting, designing, building, and deploying applications on cloud will be preferred.

As a leader in this space, we deliver world-class airport services focused on airports and their related domains enabled through technology solutions, IT operations, and digital services.

We provide end-to-end IT concessions at airports through which we have built significant experience in this sector over the past few years. We have a strong and stable client portfolio which we aim to leverage and grow the services portfolio and services business.

This includes but is not limited to IT managed services and a couple of services/products. We are building digital and transformation capabilities to complement the IT managed service to create value for our customers.

The current leadership of the company has both domestic and global experience in building and running high-performance digital-first, service organizations, and over 20+ years in the ITES sector.

As we embark on taking WAISL to the next level and we focus on - larger revenue, a larger customer base (growth engine), enhanced portfolio (managed services, new digital services/products, airport services platform, etc.) and building a strong digital team backed by a strong engineering DNA of the organization (people, system engineering).

Current revenues are at approx. US $50 million, largely secured by long-term contracts. Vision is to scale it up to $500 Mn in the next 5 years with a client portfolio of both domestic and global airports and related adjacencies.
