Job Title: Data Modelling Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Modelling Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reusable data models using tools like dbt (Data Build Tool).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Data Modelling: Develop and maintain accurate and efficient data models that support business requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers to ingest and transform data from various sources.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure data quality, consistency, and documentation across all datasets.
  • Insight Delivery: Collaborate with analysts and business teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Pipeline Integrity: Implement and maintain data testing frameworks to validate pipeline integrity.
  • Query Optimisation: Optimize SQL queries and data transformations for performance and scalability.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Maintain version control and CI/CD pipelines for analytics codebases.
  • Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and models in production.
Required Skills:

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • SQL Proficiency: Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SQL.
  • Data Engineering Experience: Experience in data engineering, analytics, or BI development.
  • Data Modelling Tools: Proficiency in SQL and experience with dbt or similar data modelling tools.
  • Cloud Data Warehouses: Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
  • Data Warehousing Concepts: Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Git and CI/CD Workflows: Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
