Medical Transcriptionist Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Transcriptionist to join our team. As a Medical Transcriptionist, you will be responsible for accurately transcribing medical dictations from doctors into written reports.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe medical records with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Review and correct grammar, spelling, and medical terminology errors in transcribed reports.
  • Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle patient records with strict adherence to healthcare data protection guidelines.
  • Work with transcription software, speech recognition tools, and electronic health records (EHR).
  • Format reports according to hospital/clinic requirements.
  • Communicate with doctors or healthcare providers for clarification when needed.
  • Deliver error-free reports within strict deadlines.

Required Skills:

  • Strong listening skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and abbreviations.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills.
  • Good grammar, punctuation, and editing ability.
  • Knowledge of healthcare documentation standards.
  • Familiarity with medical transcription software & EHR systems.
  • Ability to work independently with high concentration.

Qualifications:

A degree in any field is required. Specialized Medical Transcription training/certification is highly preferred.
