Job Description:

The role of Pre-Clinical Pathology Lab Director entails strategic planning and execution of blood collection from various laboratory animals, ensuring a high standard of quality control. This includes monitoring anesthesia / euthanasia of laboratory animals and planning for necropsy examination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and execution of blood collection from various laboratory animals
  • Monitoring anesthesia / euthanasia of laboratory animals
  • Planning for necropsy examination
  • Preparing and conducting necropsy examination of laboratory animals
  • Responsible for conducting and monitoring tissue trimming, processing, block making, sectioning, slide staining of various studies
  • Histopathological slide reading for toxicity and efficacy studies
  • Responsible for monitoring histopathological slide preparation
  • Slide reading and histopathological report preparation of various pre-clinical studies as a study pathologist
  • Conduct and monitor clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation parameters & urine analysis
  • Monitoring microscopic evaluation of urine samples
  • Implementation and maintenance of high standard quality control check external as well as internal for in-house biochemical analysis
  • Preparing SOPs related to pathology area
  • Control and supervise the maintenance and operation of various histopathology-related instruments
  • Review of various in-house test results
  • Involvement in planning and execution of pharmacological evaluation projects
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • High level of expertise in histopathology and pre-clinical pathology
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory regulations and standards
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in histopathology software and equipment
