About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Specialist to join our team at Texas Instruments. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative power solutions for a broad range of customer applications.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with design, systems, and back-end teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability and reliability. This includes working on product families or categories, ensuring devices meet specifications and quality targets as defined in our data sheets.

In addition, the specialist may be responsible for sustaining support, working with design, process technology, packaging, manufacturing, test, quality, reliability, and marketing teams to further optimize the manufacturing flow of a given device.

Responsibilities
  • Develop new power devices, including Buck converter multiphase controllers, power stages, and Power sequencers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and release new products, ensuring goals and objectives are met
  • Design and qualify boards, such as sHTOL, dHTOL, ELFR, BHAST, and PTC
  • Evaluate, debug, and characterize integrated circuits to ensure they meet product requirement specifications and manufacturing requirements
  • Work with failure analysis to determine root cause of reliability and qualification failures
  • Develop and qualify new technologies with process and package technology development teams
  • Work with global manufacturing facilities to address customer-specific quality, yield management, and cost reduction issues on mature products
  • Ensure smooth device ramp post-release to manufacturing
  • Qualify second source wafer fab, assembly/test facility, and Bill of Materials to ensure device continuity of supply
  • Perform test conversion, time reduction, and yield improvements to achieve device entitlement operational transfer cost
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, ECE
  • Strong technical background, with the ability to produce high-quality technical documentation
Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Solid understanding of analog and digital circuits, their operation, and analysis
  • Hands-on experience working with lab equipment, such as curve tracers and oscilloscopes
  • Programming skills in C or C++
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills

Estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
