Senior PHP Developer Role at Cambridge Technology Enterprises

We are seeking a highly skilled PHP developer to lead our team in building dynamic, user-friendly web applications using PHP and PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of PHP fundamentals, object-oriented programming principles, and experience working with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL. This role will play a key part in developing and maintaining our backend systems, ensuring data integrity, and contributing to the overall success of our web applications.

  • Develop and maintain web applications using PHP.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and secure PHP code.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration between the backend and frontend layers.
  • Design and implement efficient database queries using PostgreSQL.
  • Optimize application performance and troubleshoot any database-related issues.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in PHP and PostgreSQL development.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.
  • Write unit tests to ensure code reliability.
Key Responsibilities and Skills

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as a PHP developer with 3+ years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of PHP syntax, object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts, and design patterns.
  • Experience working with a relational database management system, preferably PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Familiarity with a MVC framework (e.g., Laravel, Symfony) is a plus.
  • Excellent understanding of web development concepts (HTTP requests/responses, sessions, cookies).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

The ideal candidate will be based in Hyderabad or willing to work remotely.
