**Job Title:** Platform Engineering Director

At Vintronics Consulting, we are seeking a seasoned leader to head our Platform Engineering team. As the Platform Engineering Director, you will be responsible for managing the following functional areas:

  • Cloud Engineering: Leading our products towards cloud native and containerization
  • Data Engineering: Developing analytics, reports, and event data pipelines
  • Performance Engineering: Ensuring continuous performance and scalability
  • DevSecOps: Implementing secure and efficient development and deployment practices
  • Security: Protecting our products and infrastructure from threats
  • Automation: Streamlining our processes and workflows
  • Database and Application Infrastructure: Designing and maintaining our database and application infrastructure components

The ideal candidate will have 15-18 years of experience in building products with a focus on cloud native, performance engineering, and DevSecOps. They should be a seasoned leader with hands-on experience in the following areas:

  • Containerization: Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift
  • Maintainability and Observability: Using CNI to ensure maintainable and observable products
  • Message Queues: Working knowledge of RabbitMQ, Kafka, and Redis Streams
  • Scripting Languages: Good experience in JavaScript, Node.js, or Python
  • Performance Engineering: Understanding performance engineering fundamentals, including APM, context switch, and bandwidth
  • Distributed Tracing: Experience with distributed tracing
  • Relational and NoSQL Databases: Good knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, and Elastic
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ansible: Good knowledge of Ansible
  • Security: Understanding of SAST, DAST, SCA, and associated tools
  • Containerization Security: Experience with containerization security
  • Automation: Experience with automation via shift left approach
  • Deployments: Working experience in canary and blue-green deployments
  • Cloud Environments: Working experience in cloud environments for both VM and containerized workloads
