Job Description

As a highly skilled Information Governance Specialist, you will lead the design, implementation, and adoption of Microsoft Purview solutions across enterprise environments.

This role focuses on enabling strong data governance, security, and compliance within Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystems.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, able to lead projects end-to-end, and bridge the gap between compliance requirements and technical execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience: 5–7 years of experience in Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance, Data Governance, or Information Protection.
  • Purview Expertise: Strong, practical expertise with Microsoft Purview, including Compliance Manager, DLP, Information Protection, Insider Risk, eDiscovery, and Records Management.
  • Sensitivity Labels: Proven track record with sensitivity labels, retention policies, and data classification frameworks.
  • Security and Compliance: Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 security and compliance capabilities.
  • Azure Services: Familiarity with Azure services, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange, and SharePoint Online.
  • Regulatory Frameworks: Solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, etc.) and ability to map them into technical solutions.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Good to Have (Preferred)
  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate or Security, Compliance & Identity Fundamentals.
  • Defender Experience: Experience with Microsoft Defender and the wider M365 security ecosystem.
  • Enterprise Deployments: Exposure to enterprise-scale deployments, migrations, and compliance rollouts.
  • Governance Workflows: Knowledge of Power BI, Power Automate, and governance workflows.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
