Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying modern data infrastructures, architectures, and pipelines for our clients.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of cloud-first strategies, data engineering, and experience working with large-scale data management programs. They will also have expertise in Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and Synapse, as well as strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with clients on cloud-first strategies for core business-critical data initiatives
  • Provide thought leadership on process and technical matters
  • Design and develop modern data infrastructures, architectures, and pipelines
  • Mentor and educate client teams on the latest approaches, tools, and skills

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience working in consulting or contracting capacity in large data management and modernization programs
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Servers, data engineering, and experience working with Azure-based platforms
  • Expertise in Delta Lake and Lakehouse Architecture, Kafka, Spark, and Linux administration
  • Scripting skills and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using PowerShell, Bash, and ARM templates
  • Strong understanding of security and corporate governance issues related to cloud-first data architecture
