We are looking for an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join our team and help us design and implement secure and scalable IT systems in Azure Cloud, Oracle HCM, Salesforce, and other platforms.
This role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, identifying and mitigating network and application vulnerabilities, and maintaining secure integration and communication frameworks in public cloud environments, Kubernetes, and serverless platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven experience in securing applications, and a deep understanding of regulatory compliance in HIPAA or HITRUST environments.
Key Responsibilities :
Security Architecture Design :
- Develop secure, scalable solutions using industry best practices in cloud environments.
- Implement operating system hardening strategies to mitigate vulnerabilities.
Regulatory Compliance :
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, HITRUST, and other standards for PHI and PII.
- Implement and monitor controls to protect sensitive data across systems and platforms.
Application Development & Security :
- Guide software development teams in creating secure applications by embedding security throughout the SDLC.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and Azure DevOps.
PKI Management & System Hardening :
- Oversee Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) management and ensure robust encryption practices.
- Maintain secure integration and communication frameworks in public cloud environments, Kubernetes, and serverless platforms.
Threat Management :
- Identify, assess, and mitigate network and application vulnerabilities.
- Implement tools and protocols for firewalls, SIEM, IDPS, and antivirus systems.
Documentation & Training :
- Develop detailed documentation for SDLC processes, security protocols, and system architecture.
- Educate teams on security practices and tools to enhance organizational security posture.
Collaboration & Communication :
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and compliance officers.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of combined IT experience, including software development, information security, and cloud platforms.
- At least 2 years of experience in architecting or securing software applications.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience working in a HIPAA or HITRUST regulated environment.
- Familiarity with securing applications in platforms like Azure SQL Server, Snowflake, Delinea/Thycotic Secret Server, ServiceNow, and Workato.
Technical Competencies :
- Proficiency in developing or securing applications in Azure Cloud, Oracle HCM, Salesforce, and similar platforms.
- Ability to architect or secure microservice applications using serverless platforms or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and Azure DevOps.
- Working knowledge of PKI management, operating system hardening, and network security.
- Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
Soft Skills :
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical concepts clearly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
