Backend Developer Role

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our engineering team. This role is focused on building scalable, high-quality backend services from the ground up.


This position requires strong proficiency in PHP and the Laravel framework. You will be responsible for writing clean, efficient server-side logic and managing databases. Deployment experience is a plus but not necessary as your main focus will be on building a solid application.


The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of professional experience in web development, strong knowledge of database design, normalization, and writing efficient SQL queries. Experience with RESTful APIs, DevOps/Infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines is also essential.


  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and maintain high-quality, reusable PHP code
    • Contribute to our modular, scalable backend architecture
    • Design and manage well-structured and efficient MySQL databases
    • Collaborate with the founding team on internal tools and admin panels
    • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software

Requirements
  • Experience: 2-3 years of professional experience in web development
  • Languages: Strong proficiency in PHP and the Laravel framework
  • Database: Solid experience with MySQL, including database design, normalization, and writing efficient SQL queries
  • DevOps/Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with managing and deploying applications on Linux servers within an AWS environment
  • Frontend Experience: Experience with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap
