Software Engineer I – Front End Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Digital Software Solutions Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for developing high-quality software solutions as a contributing member of a highly motivated team of Engineers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development and quality assurance best practices, with experience in web development using HTML5/CSS3, Native JavaScript, AngularJS, Angular, ReactJS, and other web server technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality software that meets requirements and promotes re-use of software components.
  • Diagnose, isolate, and implement remedies for system failures caused by errors in software code.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in Engineering practices.
  • Utilize software-based system maintenance and tracking tools.
  • Provide input and technical content for technical documentation, user help materials, and customer training.
  • Conduct unit tests, track problems, and implement changes to ensure adherence to test plans and functional/non-functional requirements.
  • Implement software mechanisms to improve code stability, performance, and reusability. Participate in and lead code review sessions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Strong web development skills using HTML5/CSS3, Native JavaScript, AngularJS, Angular, ReactJS, and other web server technologies.
  • Strong understanding of software development and quality assurance best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting techniques and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand business and technical requirements.
  • Ability to document requirements in the form of word documents and/or UML diagrams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, proficiency in Japanese (spoken and written), bilingual candidates preferred.
