Accounting Associate Role

We are seeking a skilled Accounting Associate to assist in tax preparation and bookkeeping for clients. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns in compliance with Australian taxation laws.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and file tax returns for individual and business clients within set deadlines.
  • Maintain precise records of financial transactions for clients, including bookkeeping and reconciliation tasks.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for clients, highlighting areas of improvement.
  • Support the processing of GST and BAS documentation, guaranteeing compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to optimize accounting and tax documentation workflows.
  • Provide expert guidance to clients on basic taxation queries and bookkeeping services, resolving issues promptly.
  • Manage client records and files accurately, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Perform administrative tasks as required by the team, prioritizing efficiency and productivity.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, demonstrating a solid understanding of financial principles.
  • Expertise in Australian tax systems and bookkeeping practices, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Familiarity with leading accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks), enabling efficient data management.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, guaranteeing accuracy in financial records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with clients and colleagues.
