Job Description

As a content editor, you will be responsible for adding to our energetic and passionate editorial team. We are seeking individuals with a keen interest in NASCAR and the ability to verify the legitimacy of statistical data and facts.

The editorial team is responsible for enhancing the quality of content before it goes live on our website. You will work closely with writers to refine and boost their quality, output, and overall performance.

  • Actively edit and publish 20-25 articles daily.
  • Proofread articles to ensure no avoidable errors - grammatical or otherwise - remain and check plagiarism in the articles before they're published.
  • Research to ensure veracity of facts as well as identify incorrect claims and eliminate them immediately.
  • Publish articles in a timely fashion for priority news-based articles.
  • Mentor and guide an allocated set of writers to refine and boost their quality, output, and overall performance.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations of writers in the NASCAR division.
  • Undertake other key duties as instructed by the Editorial Team Lead.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 6-12 months of experience in proofreading and/or content editing.
  • Prior experience leading a team of writers would be an additional plus.
  • Good grasp of the fundamentals of the English language and accustomed to American culture.
