Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Unix Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and improving application infrastructure by collaborating with developers and production support teams. This involves configuring existing infrastructure, simplifying release processes, conducting investigations and research related to programming and coding, and participating in planning, risk assessment, and distributed agile processes.

You will work closely with the team to ensure seamless deployment of new systems, resolve technical issues promptly, and provide expert-level guidance on Unix/Linux-related topics. Additionally, you will contribute to knowledge sharing within the organization through documentation and training sessions.

Required Skills:
  • At least 5 years of working experience
  • Strong Unix/Linux expertise
  • SQL knowledge and database management skills
  • Extensive production support and maintenance experience
  • Advanced scripting skills (Perl, PowerShell, Shell) and proficiency in version control systems like Git
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and troubleshooting skills
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to changing technologies and environments
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Basic mainframe knowledge and familiarity with CMOD/IBM Content Manager OnDemand Server and Client
  • Scripting skills and experience with Java programming language
