Job Description:

Our organization seeks a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our HCL Cloud Product team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in AWS, Microsoft Azure, and GCP.

This role involves translating application requirements into cloud architecture/infrastructure, deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant architectures.

The successful candidate will select appropriate services based on compute, data, or security requirements, migrate on-premises workloads to cloud service providers, and write infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, JSON, YAML, or Terraform.

Additionally, the Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer will troubleshoot distributed systems, understand public cloud infrastructure management, and deliver and maintain cloud solutions according to best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • 4+ years of experience in public cloud infrastructure services (AWS, Azure, GCP)

The ideal candidate will have proficiency in containerized environments (EKS/AKS/GKE), hosting applications on GCP (Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud SQL, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage).

  • Networking principles (IP subnetting, routing, firewall rules, Virtual Private Cloud)
  • Load Balancer, Cloud DNS, Cloud CDN, etc.

Advanced knowledge of AWS services (EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, Route 53/DNS, Clustering, Log Management, IAM) and Azure Compute Instances, Azure Storage, Azure Backup, VNet, Subnets, NSG/ASG, IAM, Azure RBAC, SSL, Traffic Manager, Azure DNS, and Load balancers is required.

Strong notions of security best practices (IAM Policies & Roles, SSL, KMS) are necessary, along with experience with configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet/Chef).

Unix/Linux, Windows basic administration, Service Now, Incident Management, Change Management, and ITIL processes are also essential skills for this role.
