Job Title: MEP Project Engineer

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3-5 years of experience working on fire protection systems in high-rise residential or commercial buildings.

  • Excellent exposure to all aspects of Fire Fighting Systems, Sprinkler systems, and Fire alarm system.
  • Experience with at least one full cycle of project from start to finish.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Word, and MS Excel.
  • Manage task-oriented groups and well-developed planning skills.
  • Ability to work within stringent financial, quality, and time-bound targets.
  • Result-oriented with excellent supervisory skills.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day work of the team, designs, and implementation. They will also ensure that the installation, inspection, testing, fittings, and work implemented meet specifications, regulatory, and other requirements.

Additional responsibilities include coordinating and administering Fire Fighting related materials, systems, and shop drawings submittals, as well as ensuring billing is done on time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct, monitor, and control the activities of Subcontractors.
  • Supervising contractors, labours, vendors to ensure work follows specifications and meets deadlines.
  • Inspecting work sites for code compliance and safety hazards.
  • Ensuring all plans meet regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitating problem-solving among subcontractors, clients, vendors, etc. during construction.
  • Validating design issues related to Fire Fighting and suggesting alternative solutions.
