Job Title: Big Data Architect

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain data pipeline architecture that is optimal, scalable, and efficient.
  • Design and implement events/streaming-based architecture to process large datasets in real-time.
  • Identify opportunities for internal process improvements by automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
  • Build the necessary infrastructure to extract, transform, and load data from various sources using SQL and big data technologies like AWS.
  • Develop tools for analytics and data scientist teams to assist them in building and optimizing products.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to enhance functionality in data systems.
  • Mandatory Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Python or Scala programming languages and expertise in Apache Spark.
  • Hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformations and data modeling.
  • Able to handle large datasets efficiently and optimize Spark jobs for better performance.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with big data tools like HDFS, S3, Spark/Flink, Hive/Hbase, Kafka/Kinesis, etc.
  • Knowledge of relational SQL and NoSQL databases including Elasticsearch and Cassandra/Mongodb.
  • Understanding of cloud services like AWS/GCP and stream-processing systems like Spark-Streaming/Flink.
  • Strong analytic skills related to working with structured/unstructured datasets.
