We are seeking an experienced and proactive Team Leader to oversee a team of analysts supporting a leading commercial real estate lending operation.

About the Role:

This role will manage day-to-day delivery, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and manage client stakeholders in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor analysts processing CRE loan applications, credit documentation, and portfolio management.
  • Ensure delivery meets service level agreements and key performance indicators with 98%+ right-first-time documentation accuracy.
  • Track, review, and report team performance; conduct regular feedback and coaching sessions.
Operational Excellence:
  • Enforce adherence to lending policy, standards, and criteria.
  • Review and approve credit papers/documentation prior to submission.
  • Support the use of front-end systems to monitor loan applications through approval.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Act as the single point of contact for client stakeholders in the UK.
  • Manage escalations, provide operational updates, and lead process alignment discussions.
  • Facilitate transparent, regular communication between teams.
Compliance & Risk:
  • Oversee collaboration with know your customer and financial crime teams for onboarding/fraud cases.
  • Ensure compliance with UK banking regulations and client-specific policies.
Process Improvement & Reporting:
  • Identify and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Prepare and present performance reports, dashboards, and insights for senior leadership.
Training & Development:
  • Conduct training on commercial real estate lending practices, compliance, and systems.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Ad Hoc:
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings as required.
  • Handle special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
