Software Development Engineer

Amazon is seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer to join the Digital Acceleration Commerce team.

  • This role involves designing and developing high-scale web services using cloud technologies.
  • The work will be highly visible to Amazon customers and internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have experience in software development, strong technical skills, a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment, high creativity, and great analytical reasoning skills.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
