Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java and Scala Developer to contribute to the design, development, and deployment of microservices-based applications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Java and Scala programming languages, extensive experience with the Spring framework, and a solid grasp of deploying applications in an AWS cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and resilient distributed systems using Java and Scala.
  • Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment and maintenance.
  • Leverage the Spring framework to create robust backend services.
  • Work with AWS cloud services to build and deploy microservices.
  • Ensure system consistency and reliability through well-designed code and proactive troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate multiple services and systems within the company's ecosystem.
  • Mentor junior developers and share knowledge to foster a culture of technical excellence.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in technology.
  • Drive continuous integration and deployment strategies with a DevOps mindset.
  • Conduct code reviews, writing tests, and documenting processes to ensure code quality and maintainability.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in Java (17+) and Scala development.
  • Proven experience with the Spring Framework (6+), including Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
  • Advanced knowledge of AWS cloud services and architecture.
  • Solid experience with microservices development and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong understanding of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
  • Excellent grasp of software engineering best practices, design patterns, and anti-patterns.
  • Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems (Git, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
