Data Migration Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Specialist with strong expertise in data management and hands-on implementation experience using advanced tools.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute end-to-end data migration projects using a comprehensive toolset.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to analyze data migration requirements and create a customized migration strategy.
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and loading (ETL) activities ensuring high-quality results.
  • Ensure data consistency, integrity, and quality throughout the migration lifecycle.
  • Develop and manage mapping rules, validation scripts, and error resolution processes for efficient data migration.
  • Provide cutover and post-migration support, ensuring a smooth transition to systems.
  • Prepare detailed documentation, reports, and dashboards on migration progress and quality metrics.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project timelines and deliverables.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5–8 years of proven experience in data migration projects.
  • Strong expertise with advanced tools for data migration.
  • Hands-on experience in managing data modules and ETL processes.
  • Solid knowledge of data cleansing, transformation techniques, and SQL programming.
  • Experience in migrating master data, transactional data, and configuration data.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex data migration issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with global teams.
