Enterprise Data Governance Leader

We are seeking an experienced data governance professional to lead our Enterprise Data Governance program. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and supporting tools & technology required to enable data governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement data governance programs using Collibra, Informatica, Alation etc.
  • Develop solutions for data cataloging, meta data management, and data lineage of enterprise applications and data sources.
  • Enable enterprise level integration of metadata stores for business users to search and understand information by developing standard business glossaries and data dictionaries.
  • Support in implementing a solution for data cataloging with a data governance tool to establish clear data ownership along with access control management.
  • Build custom integrations between data governance tool and various data stores to map and view data lineage.
  • Support the enterprise in migrating from existing data sources like SharePoint, Excel etc. to a data governance tool.
  • Support in implementing a workflow management system to optimize, improve, and automate data governance workflows for data stewards to increase output, eliminate repetition, and reduce errors.
  • Implement means to track, investigate and correct data quality issues in a data governance tool and support in setting up data quality rules for data validation and standardization.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other related fields or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience utilizing tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation etc. to implement data governance programs.
  • 5+ years of experience in data management space under any area.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work with business stakeholders and leaders to identify and align on workable business solutions to data privacy requirements and challenges.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection.
  • Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies.
  • Certifications on these tools is a plus.
