Principal Decorator

Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our team.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support for the lead designer, accompanying and assisting during client meetings at job sites and showrooms.
• Take detailed notes during meetings, record measurements and photos of projects.
• Create CAD drawings for client projects.
• Research décor and materials, providing pricing, availability, stock information, etc.
• Place orders, purchase materials, pick up and deliver.
• Submit receipts for all purchases and orders.
• Track and communicate order status, resolve problems.
• Maintain spreadsheets with client selections and finish materials.
• Schedule tasks for designers, contractors, clients, and vendors.
• Respond to client inquiries and concerns, project updates.
• Meet with vendors, assist with installations.
• Submit detailed hours (billable and non-billable) and mileage logs monthly.
• Check daily client spreadsheet for new tasks, update assigned task status at the end of each day.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of work experience in interior design or a related field.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with CAD software and other design tools.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
