About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Risk Professional to lead our Risk and Resilience efforts in the APAC region. As Sr. Risk Manager, you will be responsible for strengthening resilience capabilities within the region by driving key R&R Program initiatives and effectively engaging key stakeholders using standard frameworks and mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate threat identification into risk assessments, risk treatment plans, mitigation strategies, and escalation frameworks
  • Lead country-level crisis calls and ensure timely placement/adoption of mitigation measures
  • Establish guidelines/workflows/frameworks to empower SLP cluster/regional leaders to lead/drive crisis scenarios effectively
  • Define, apply, and defend requirements as well as test, remediate, and enhance risk management controls
  • Drive initiatives to leverage Incident Management Team's (IMT) capabilities and strengthen the sites incident/crisis management capabilities
  • Conduct IMTex/Table Top Ex for Regional/Country Leaders in partnership with SLP team and other stakeholders
  • Develop, monitor, and report on internal metrics, goals, and key performance as well as risk indicators to drive continuous improvement
  • Identify control deficiencies and engage with internal teams to measure impact, design, and drive remediation
  • Review and prioritize risk-based mitigation recommendations, partnering with internal stakeholders to secure funding and manage projects to successful resolution
About the Team

Working in partnership with our stakeholders, Security and Loss Prevention secures the Amazon supply chain end-to-end and promotes security during business conversations. Sitting within Security and Loss Prevention, the Risk Management team does this by creating and maintaining risk frameworks to ensure continuation of our business, providing risk assessments, risk preparedness, contingency planning, and incident response as a service to business and operational Security and Loss Prevention teams.

Requirements
  • A relevant degree or degree equivalent (e.g., Business Administration, security, risk, political science)
  • Minimum four years of Amazon work experience
  • Relevant advanced experience in risk management, resilience, loss prevention, or a related field
  • Relevant advanced experience with any of the following: security programs, vulnerability assessment, risk assessment, compliance, audit, quality management, gap and threat analysis, statistical analysis
  • Lean Six Sigma Certified
  • Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English
