Medical Equipment Technician Role

We are seeking an experienced technician to manage medical device turnaround at our facility.

  • Device Turnaround & Maintenance:
  • Perform thorough disinfection and cleaning of medical devices in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct functional checks on devices post-patient usage.
  • Replace components and consumable parts as needed.
  • Maintain calibration logs for routine quality control checks.
  • Troubleshooting & Basic Repairs:
  • Diagnose electronics issues in control units and perform minor repairs.
  • Collaborate with the research and development team for advanced repairs or escalations.
  • Perform software and firmware updates when required.
  • Device Deployment Support:
  • Coordinate device pickups and installations at hospitals and home-care centers as needed.
  • Deploy new and rental devices according to requirements.
  • Provide basic usage training to nursing staff and caregivers upon device deployment.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate service logs, track device usage hours, complaints, and interventions.
  • Prepare monthly reports for operations and product teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in servicing medical equipment, including infusion pumps, suction machines, ventilators, and patient monitors.
  • Familiarity with electronic devices and hands-on skills in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
  • Knowledge of hospital infection control practices is beneficial.

  • Able to maintain accurate service documentation.
  • Willingness to travel locally for device pickups/deployments when required.
