Migration Specialist - Kafka Expert

We are looking for a skilled migration specialist to join our team. As a Kafka expert, you will design and implement automated migration pipelines for moving enterprise workloads to open-source or cloud-native clusters.

  • Design and implement automated migration pipelines using Apache Kafka, ensuring seamless data integration and minimization of downtime.
  • Develop custom plugins for Kafka Connect as part of migration workflows, guaranteeing high-performance and reliability.
  • Built scalable CI/CD processes for Kafka resource provisioning and configuration rollouts, guaranteeing high-performance and reliability.
  • Integrated with cloud orchestration tools (AWS MSK, Kubernetes operators) and managed infrastructure-as-code, streamlining migration processes.
  • Ensured automated tests cover data integrity, performance, and integration interfaces post-migration, reducing errors and improving quality.

Required Skills:

  • Kafka administration and migration
  • CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Scripting (Python, Go, Bash)
  • Kafka Connect custom plugin API, Maven/Gradle
  • Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Monitoring/validation: Prometheus, Grafana
  • Automation of rollback/validation steps for migrations
  • Exposure to cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Data ops and security automation
