About the Role


We are looking for an experienced individual with strong analytical skills to assist in maintaining high standards of accuracy, meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and communicating status updates to management.



Responsibilities



  • Prepare and file sales tax returns and payments accurately and on time
  • Maintain precision in all tasks related to standard operating procedures
  • Meet SLA's and ensure accurate and timely registration
  • Communicate ongoing status and challenges to manager
  • Stay up-to-date with tax updates and trends
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Collaborate with the team to plan and prepare monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual filings
  • Effectively communicate with external customers and internal teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in systems


Required Skills and Qualifications



  • 6+ months - 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of sales tax (VAT & Use Tax) is advantageous
  • Experience with tracking tools like Salesforce & Atlassian Jira is beneficial


Salary and Compensation Package


The estimated salary for this role is between $60,000-$80,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications. Avalara offers a competitive compensation package that includes a comprehensive benefits program.
