The role of a Data Engineer and Analytics Specialist involves designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure for storing, processing, and analyzing large datasets. This includes creating data pipelines, implementing data modeling best practices, and ensuring data governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Engineering
    • Design and implement data pipelines using advanced SQL, data modeling, and pipeline orchestration techniques.
    • Establish data quality standards and ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop data solutions that meet their needs.
  • Analytics and Reporting
    • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using BI tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven strategies that drive business outcomes.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead a team of analysts and engineers in designing, developing, and deploying data solutions.
    • Mentor team members on advanced SQL, data engineering, and analytics concepts.
    • Partner with stakeholders to prioritize projects, manage timelines, and deliver results.

Qualifications:

  • 5–8 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or related fields.
  • Advanced SQL, data modeling, and pipeline orchestration skills.
  • Strong BI expertise (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, or equivalent).
  • Experience with workflow automation (Airflow, dbt, n8n, CI/CD).
  • Prior experience in leading small teams and stakeholder management.
