Wind Turbine Foundation Design Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced Wind Turbine Foundation Design Engineer to contribute to the development of innovative and cost-effective foundation designs for large-scale renewable energy projects.

  • This role involves designing and optimizing wind turbine foundations, including gravity-based, spread footing, piled, rock-anchored, ribbed beam, shallow mat, and other types of foundations.
  • You will perform load and stress calculations to ensure structural integrity, taking into account factors such as gravity, wind, seismic activity, and fatigue.
  • Selecting cost-effective and sustainable construction materials that meet international standards is also a key responsibility.
  • Preparing and reviewing design documents, including Structural Design Basis Reports, Bills of Quantities, drawings, and calculation packages, is a critical aspect of this role.
  • Collaboration with geotechnical, electrical, and civil experts is essential to deliver holistic project designs.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant international standards, including BIS, ASCE, AISC, SBC, and EUROCODE, is also a requirement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural specialization preferred).
  • Master's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering (Advanced Structural Analysis preferred).
  • A minimum of 8-12 years of experience in the Power & Utilities / Renewable Energy sector, with proven expertise in wind turbine foundation design.
  • Proficiency in software: STAAD Pro, SAP2000, RFEM/RSTAB, SAFE, ETABS, PLAXIS 2D/3D.
  • Strong knowledge in geotechnical risk assessment, seismic hazard analysis, hydrological risk assessment.
