Job Opportunity

The Research Manager is responsible for supporting fundraising and field operations teams in developing project monitoring and evaluation plans. They design quantitative surveys, qualitative interview guides, and work with field operations to develop ongoing monitoring and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the fundraising team by engaging with research partners and project funders.
  • Design surveys and interview guides in collaboration with data and country teams.
  • Perform quality checks for ongoing research and project evaluations.
  • Conduct primary data analysis for internal and externally funded projects.
  • Write high-quality reports and critically review them for stakeholders.
Core Competencies and Experiences:
  • Masters degree in Economics with coursework in econometrics, impact evaluation, and economic development.
  • At least 3 years of experience in research and development work.
  • Strong understanding of economic development and poverty reduction drivers.
  • Demonstrated experience in quantitative research methods and data analysis.
Requirements:
  • Effective communication skills to describe evaluations in straightforward terms.
  • Research stakeholder management skills to speak the language of researchers and project specialists.
  • Project management experience including risk management and tracking systems.
