Job Title: Structural Draftsman

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed structural drawings and 3D BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD to meet engineering markups and design requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, MEP, and other engineering disciplines to ensure model consistency and accuracy.
  • Produce accurate shop drawings, detailed sections, and reinforcement detailing as required by project specifications.
  • Maintain up-to-date BIM models and update them as needed throughout the project lifecycle to ensure compliance with local and international codes.
  • Assist in clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or other BIM coordination software to minimize conflicts and improve constructability.
  • Evaluate quality control of drafted output and manage drawing revisions to maintain high standards.
  • Attend coordination meetings and provide input on constructability and detailing issues to enhance project delivery.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a structural draftsman, with at least 2 years using BIM/Revit to produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Proficiency in Revit Structure, AutoCAD, and familiarity with Navisworks to ensure seamless collaboration and data exchange.
  • Solid knowledge of structural systems (RC, steel, post-tensioning, etc.) and detailing standards to produce accurate and reliable outputs.
  • Experience working on large-scale buildings, infrastructure, or villa projects to demonstrate ability to handle complex projects.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Revit or BIM to demonstrate expertise and commitment to industry standards.
  • Familiarity with ISO 19650 or other BIM standards to ensure alignment with global best practices.
  • Experience working in consultant or contractor environments in the UAE or GCC region to leverage local knowledge and networks.
