We are seeking a seasoned Software Development Specialist to join our team. This individual will contribute to and direct the efforts of development teams, ensuring the successful design, development, modification, implementation, and support of software components across various platforms.

This role involves serving as a key member of cross-functional teams, working closely with management and other stakeholders to drive innovation and process improvements. The ideal candidate will possess excellent conceptual, analytical, mathematical skills, and have experience with Agile/Scrum project methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, modify, implement, and support software components anywhere in the software stack.
  • Determine root cause for complex software issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Evaluate new technologies, make recommendations as necessary, and stay current on industry developments.
  • Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external team members to achieve project objectives.

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of IT experience with 3+ years focused on Guidewire Rating development.
  • Experience in Configuration on Guidewire Products such as PolicyCenter/Rating.
  • Familiarity with Gosu Queries, PCF, RuleSets, Validations, and Agile/Scrum project methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of insurance domain principles, particularly commercial and personal lines of business.

Bonus Points:

  • Guidewire certification on Integration track.
  • Awareness of Cloud Implementation is beneficial.
