Postgraduate Counseling Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to play a pivotal role in shaping the journeys of master's, PhD, and other postgraduate applicants. As a Postgraduate Counseling Associate, you will lead a team of counselors, collaborate with subject experts and editors, and provide strategic guidance to help clients stand out in a highly competitive global admissions landscape.

This is an ideal opportunity for a dynamic, empathetic, and strategically minded professional who thrives on helping motivated candidates achieve their academic and career ambitions. Your strong understanding of program-specific requirements for Master's, PhD, MBA, and other postgraduate degrees will enable you to design and oversee structured mentorship schedules with external mentors while ensuring students receive consistent support.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Serving as the main point of contact for students and parents, providing personalized guidance on academics, extracurriculars, and application milestones.
  • Designing and overseeing structured mentorship schedules with external mentors while ensuring students receive consistent support.
  • Conducting one-on-one profile evaluations, advising on academics, extracurriculars, summer schools, internships, and overall profile building.
  • Coaching students through standardized test preparation (SAT/ACT, APs, IELTS/TOEFL, etc.) and guiding them on subject or curriculum equivalencies (IB, A-Levels, CBSE, ISC, etc.).
  • Assisting in the drafting, reviewing, and refining of application essays, personal statements, activity lists, résumés, and recommendation letters.
  • Conducting mock interviews aligned with admissions standards of universities in the U.S., U.K., and Canada.
  • Coordinating weekly student-mentor sessions via Zoom/Google Meet and maintaining an updated database of student progress.
  • Preparing detailed progress notes, ensuring applications stay on track with internal and university deadlines.
  • Researching relevant undergraduate scholarships, financial aid, and merit-based opportunities, and assisting students with applications (CSS Profile, FAFSA, UCAS bursaries, etc.).
  • Helping students and families evaluate admission offers by clarifying financial implications, career outcomes, and long-term pathways.
  • Collaborating with internal faculty, mentors, and external partners to provide holistic and timely support.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's and Master's degree in any discipline (preferably with personal experience of postgraduate study abroad in the U.S., U.K., Canada, or Europe).
  • 3–5 years of experience in postgraduate admissions counseling, higher education advisory, or related roles.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in academic and professional writing.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes applications simultaneously while maintaining quality.
  • Empathetic, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong interpersonal skills to build trust with clients.
  • Team leadership and training experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with global postgraduate application systems and processes (e.g., university portals, MBA platforms, research program requirements).
  • A deep passion for education, mentorship, and career development.

About This Opportunity:

  • Shape the academic and career paths of high-potential postgraduate applicants, helping them access the world's best opportunities.
  • Join a team that values mentorship, depth of thought, and long-term client success over transactional counseling.
  • Collaborate in a close-knit, supportive team that celebrates curiosity, initiative, and results.
  • Work with a global client base and network of mentors and subject experts from top institutions.
  • Competitive pay, career progression opportunities, and exposure to diverse postgraduate domains.

Why Choose Us?

  • Impactful work in a dynamic environment.
  • International outlook and collaboration.
  • Growth and development opportunities.
