Database Administration Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of our database systems, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administering databases using Intersystems IRIS/Cache(Ensemble)
  • Implementing security best practices and access control policies
  • Capacity planning and performance tuning
  • Design and implementation of backup strategies in IRIS
  • Design and implementation of disaster recovery strategies
  • Implementing high availability / interoperability
  • Implementing reporting/mirroring
  • Database installation, upgrades, and patching
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving for complex issues
  • Managing database maintenance solutions
  • Implementation of monitoring and other support tools in IRIS

Requirements:

  • At least 2+ years of experience in database development in a large enterprise environment
  • Understanding in database design and data modeling
  • Experience in integrating IRIS with ETL/BI software
  • Experience in ticketing system (ServiceNow)
  • Experience in release management system (Azure DevOps)
  • Good understanding of Azure and Agile
  • Understanding the Intersystems IRIS/Cache(Ensemble) coding
