Lead Molding Process Engineer
Optimize injection molding manufacturing by adhering to strict standards of quality and safety. Ensure high productivity, low rejection rates, and effective equipment maintenance.
Main Responsibilities:- Maintain injection molded part productivity according to production capacity.
- Evaluate and adhere to standardized operating procedures (SOPs) in the injection molding process.
- Control and monitor rejections in injection molded parts based on defined norms.
- Develop and execute research and development work related to molds and injection molding plant departments.
- Regularly inspect and maintain mold conditions, performing repairs as needed.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for trials, requirements, and corrections.
- Monitor and maintain machine conditions, performing repairs as necessary.
- Promote documentation compliance in the injection molding department according to ISO 13485:2016 standards.
- Optimize and troubleshoot the injection molding process.
- Evaluate production completion in the injection molding department against production planning goals.
- Test new molds and materials.
- Attach routing and quality plans for new injection-molded parts coded in the system (SAP).
- Install new equipment, perform operational qualification (OQ), performance qualification (PQ), and new process validation, create SOPs.
- Periodically review all SOPs of the department.
- Support quality assurance/quality control functions for documentation, complaints, root cause analysis, corrective action/preventive action (CAPA), and technical requirements.
- Maintain schedule-driven preventive and periodic maintenance of machines and molds.
- Contribute to mold design and coordination efforts.
- Conduct observations in the molding plant.
- Monitor operator/employee activities in the injection molding division.
- Deliver process training to operators.
- Maintain current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) standards in the injection molding plant.
