About the Role

Alexa Shopping Operations is a team dedicated to creating a world-class shopping experience for Amazon customers. Our primary goal is to enable seamless shopping experiences through voice commands on smart devices like Amazon Show, Spot, Echo, Dot, Tap, or Alexa on the Amazon App. We work on labeling data sets for model training and analyzing data sets to improve customer experience. These data sets are consumed by engineering teams like Natural Language Understanding, Machine Learning Science to develop, test, and train Alexa models with high-quality data for improving the shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to various projects involved in generating training datasets for AI models.
  • Create content that generates text-based user input to power artificial intelligence.
  • Validate data based on specific annotation guidelines, ensuring the accuracy and quality of the collected information.
  • Perform data collection and curation, resulting in the generation of high-quality data for AI models.
  • Work closely with team members and managers to drive process efficiencies and explore opportunities for automation.
  • Enhance the productivity and effectiveness of data generation and annotation processes.

About the Team

Alexa Shopping Operations is a team with a mission to help create a world-class shopping experience for Amazon customers. Our north star goal is to enable the expansion of seamless shopping experiences in everyday life at voice commands by simply interacting with smart devices like Amazon Show, Spot, Echo, Dot, Tap, or Alexa on the Amazon App. We work on labeling data sets for model training and analyzing data sets for improving customer experience. These data sets generated are consumed by engineering teams like Natural Language Understanding, Machine Learning Science to develop, test, and train the Alexa models with the highest quality data for improving the shopping experience.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in both English and Japanese (JLPT N3 Level), with a strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style.
  • Previous experience in content or editorial writing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Computer Science, or similar.
  • Japanese language certification.
  • Previous experience as AI trainers, knowledge of AI and NLP, Artificial Intelligence interaction, such as prompt generation and open AI's.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively manage tasks and projects.
  • Proficient in analytical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and dynamic work environment.
