Proposal Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Proposal Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our proposal development process, you will be responsible for preparing and evaluating technical documents for project bidding processes.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical/Electronics/ENTC/Instrumentation engineering and 1-3 years of experience in a similar role. You should have a good understanding of electrical and control knowledge, as well as experience with DCS, PLC, RTU, SCADA, HMI, MCC, PCC, VFD, APFC, and other control panels. Familiarity with Honeywell systems is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tech Offer Preparation: Prepare and evaluate technical documents including Technical offer, System Architecture, BOM, basic design, calculations, compliance to specs, commercial offer etc. for projects.
  • Bid Initiation & Review: Organize bid initiation & review meeting. Ensure that clarifications are raised well in time to get better clarity on bid submission
  • Customer Requirements Evaluation: Lead core team to evaluate customer requirements and produce technical responses to RFQs from current and potential customers
  • Site Visits & Meetings: Perform site visits whenever necessary to collect information and utility/facility constraints regarding the project. Address the Commercial and Technical meetings with prospective clients.
  • Project Management: Project management work may include coordination with customer and management of material, vendors and subcontractors.
