As a Research Engineer in our Process Innovation and Scale-Up team, you will be part of a global team that develops and optimizes processes to support our manufacturing operations. Your expertise in fluid mechanics and transport phenomena will be essential in designing and modifying reactors, as well as analyzing and interpreting CFD model results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply your knowledge of fluid mechanics and transport phenomena to support the design and modification of reactors across our business divisions.
  • Work as a key member of a cross-discipline team to tackle time-sensitive fluid dynamics problems at our manufacturing sites.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our research and process engineering community.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in physics-based modeling, particularly in fluid dynamics and transport phenomena.
Requirements
  • Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline with a strong academic record.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in models of fluid mechanics and transport, with a focus on multiphase modeling and reactive flow modeling.
  • Proven experience with computational languages such as Ansys Fluent, OpenFOAM, MatLab, Python, and C/C++.
  • Strong ability to solve real-world problems under time constraints as a member of a global team.
  • Driven and self-motivated individual with strong written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Solid understanding of typical refinery and chemical operation units.
  • Ability to leverage alternative modeling methodologies as needed for work effectiveness.
