We seek an experienced Senior Observability Specialist with exceptional expertise in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and resilient monitoring platforms across hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building sophisticated observability solutions, driving the adoption of Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tooling, and embedding synthetic monitoring into modern service architectures.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement comprehensive monitoring strategies to ensure seamless operations across cloud, hybrid, and edge environments.
- Lead APM adoption efforts with standardized instrumentation and deployment models, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
- Develop onboarding strategies for cloud, hybrid, and edge telemetry sources, focusing on synthetic monitoring and real-time data analysis.
- Integrate multiple observability tools, such as Catchpoint and Dynatrace, to deliver unified insights and enable data-driven decision making.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and develop custom monitoring solutions where needed, staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
- Contribute to the development of internal or open-source observability tooling and standards, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Drive documentation, training, and cross-team collaboration to enhance monitoring capabilities and strengthen operational efficiency.
- Partner with application teams to integrate monitoring into new service architectures, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace and Synthetic Monitoring, with a strong background in AWS (EC2, EKS, Lambda).
- Proven track record of designing and implementing successful observability solutions across complex cloud and hybrid environments.
- Familiarity with other monitoring/observability tools (Catchpoint, Prometheus, Grafana) is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
