IT Application Manager Position

The IT Application Manager is responsible for managing and ensuring the seamless operation of all academic, administrative, and enterprise IT applications at BITS Mumbai Campus.

  • Application Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise applications including deployment, configuration, upgrades, integration, and performance optimization.
  • Availability and Reliability: Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of all academic and administrative applications.
  • Issue Resolution: Oversee issue resolution, incident management, and root cause analysis for application-related problems.
Key Responsibilities

Application Management & Operations

  • Manage application vendors and service providers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services.
  • Lead user adoption initiatives, including training and support, to ensure successful implementation of new technologies.

Strategic Planning & Governance

  • Define and execute the application roadmap in alignment with institutional digital transformation goals.
  • Establish governance standards, documentation, and compliance with IT policies to ensure best practices are followed.

Integration & Data Management

  • Drive seamless integration of CRM, SIS, LMS, ERP, HRMS, and other systems to enhance teaching, learning, and operations.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across platforms.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (Master's preferred).
  • Around 15 years of progressive experience in IT application management, ideally in higher education or large enterprise environments.
  • Expertise in managing Salesforce CRM, ERP (Finance & HR), SIS, LMS, Library Management, and related systems.
