Insurance Surveyor Role

We are seeking an Insurance Surveyor to join our Non-Motor Department.

  • Maintain confidentiality and neutrality while safeguarding the interests of both insurer and insured.
  • Conduct property inspections to assess and verify the cause, nature, and extent of loss.
  • Investigate ownership, insurable interest, and circumstances surrounding the loss.
  • Perform spot and final surveys, and evaluate franchise, excess, underinsurance, and other relevant factors.
  • Estimate and determine the quantum and description of the damaged property.
  • Advise insured parties on loss prevention, safety, and risk mitigation measures.
  • Assess claim admissibility in line with policy terms and warranties.
  • Represent insurer or insured in loss assessment and liability determination.
  • Identify policy discrepancies and interpret contractual obligations.
  • Address queries from insured, insurers, and related stakeholders.
  • Provide clear reasons for claim repudiation when applicable.
  • Recommend depreciation rates and justify their applicability.
  • Seek expert opinions when required.
  • Evaluate salvage value and advice on appropriate disposal methods.

Key Skills and Qualifications

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, competence with reporting and information management tools, including MS Office (Excel/Word/Ppt), good communication and writing skills, B. Tech / B.E – Civil, Electrical and Mechanical, Fresher Engineer Graduate who is interested to work as Trainee Insurance Surveyor for Non-Motor Department.
