Associate Quality Assurance Lead

Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Quality Assurance Associate Lead to oversee testing efforts for ETL processes, Data Warehousing, and Data Migrations with a strong focus on Snowflake. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical skills combined with leadership qualities to guide junior engineers, ensure best practices, and deliver high-quality data solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting testing efforts, designing, developing, and executing test strategies, test plans, and test cases for data validation and quality assurance, reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, performing data analysis, reconciliation, and validation between source and target systems, designing data quality frameworks for Athena's Snowflake and HighTouch environments, validating data completeness, transformations, and client onboarding workflows, performing row-level and aggregated data validations across client datasets, supporting data governance, auditing, and compliance requirements, working closely with business analysts, data engineers, and developers, identifying data quality issues, troubleshooting, and providing recommendations for improvements, driving automation in ETL and DWH testing where feasible, ensuring non-functional requirements such as performance and security are met, mentoring and guiding junior engineers, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project milestones, staying up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies, and driving Quality Engineering practices over quality control activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Requirements include 6+ years of experience in ETL/DWH testing, with at least 2+ years working on Snowflake, strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, Data Migrations, and ETL workflows, proficiency in SQL with ability to write complex queries for data validation and analysis, hands-on experience with ETL tools, strong knowledge of data quality, data governance, and reconciliation testing, experience with test automation for DWH/ETL projects is an advantage, exposure to cloud platforms preferred, experience in a lead role – mentoring team members, assigning tasks, and ensuring quality delivery, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science or IT or related field, ISTQB examinations.
