Position Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of SCM Warehousing Operations and Logistics to lead and optimize our global warehousing, distribution, and logistics functions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supply chain management, warehousing, transportation, and procurement to ensure operational efficiency, cost optimization, and compliance with industry standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Warehousing & Distribution Operations
    • Develop and implement strategic warehousing and distribution plans to support global operations.
    • Optimize warehouse layouts, automation, and processes for improved efficiency and cost reduction.
    • Ensure effective inventory control measures to prevent stock discrepancies and obsolescence.
    • Lead warehouse expansion and consolidation initiatives based on business growth and demand.
    • Drive best practices in warehouse safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Logistics & Transportation Management
    • Oversee global transportation strategies, including freight optimization, carrier selection, and cost management.
    • Ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods, optimizing shipping routes and reducing lead times.
    • Develop and manage relationships with logistics service providers and freight forwarders.
    • Implement and enhance tracking systems for improved visibility of shipments.
    • Address logistics bottlenecks and drive process improvements.
  • Procurement & Supplier Collaboration
    • Work closely with the procurement team to align logistics and warehousing with sourcing strategies.
    • Negotiate contracts with logistics and warehouse service providers to achieve cost savings and efficiency.
    • Ensure supplier compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with vendors to improve inbound and outbound logistics performance.
  • Strategic Supply Chain Management & Optimization
    • Develop long-term supply chain strategies to support business growth and market expansion.
    • Leverage technology and data analytics to drive supply chain efficiencies and cost reductions.
    • Lead process automation and digitization initiatives in warehousing and logistics.
    • Identify risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing warehousing and logistics team.
    • Collaborate with internal departments, including Finance, IT, and Sales, to align supply chain operations with business objectives.
    • Provide strategic insights and regular reports to senior leadership on supply chain performance, cost savings, and operational challenges.
    • Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and supplier reliability.
    • Lead contract negotiations and pricing strategies to secure the best value for AVASO Technologies.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier consolidation, volume discounts, and process improvements.
    • Monitor procurement budgets and financial performance, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
