Procurement Expert

The Procurement Manager is a pivotal role within the organization, responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory of key raw materials such as Hot Rolled Coils, hot rolled plates, and coated steel.

This crucial position ensures uninterrupted supply of quality materials at competitive prices, optimizes procurement strategies, and manages supplier relationships to support production schedules.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing procurement strategies for raw materials based on production demands and market conditions.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure best terms and maintain a robust supply chain.
  • Issuing and managing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and resolving any procurement-related issues to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Monitoring market trends and pricing fluctuations for steel products and adjusting purchasing plans accordingly.
  • Collaborating closely with production, quality control, finance, and plant planning teams to align procurement with manufacturing needs and quality standards.
  • Managing inventory levels effectively to balance between availability and cost.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Materials Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in raw material procurement in steel or manufacturing industries, preferably related to construction or heavy engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of HRC, coated steel, hot rolled plates, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven procurement decisions.
  • Proficient in procurement SAP Hana applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
