Corporate Counsel Job Description

This job posting is for a Corporate Counsel role within our team.

We are seeking an experienced legal professional to join our organization as a Corporate Counsel. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing property transactions and conveyancing, including drafting, negotiation, due diligence, and compliance.

The core responsibilities of this role include:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various legal documents such as Leave and License agreements, lease agreements, sale deeds, MOUs, and title documents.
  • Providing legal support for property acquisitions, rentals, and disposals, including due diligence and risk assessment.
  • Ensuring compliance with local real estate laws, including RERA, municipal, and development authority regulations.
  • Liaising with external counsels, government bodies, and regulatory authorities on property-related issues.
  • Handling legal documentation for property registration, stamp duty, and registration formalities.
  • Maintaining accurate records and contract databases for all real estate transactions.
  • Conducting thorough legal due diligence of properties, including title verification, encumbrance checks, etc.

To be considered for this position, you will need to possess:

  • A strong understanding of real estate law, conveyancing, and related regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • LLB degree with 4–10 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Strong exposure to real estate, property law, and conveyancing.
  • Hands-on experience drafting and negotiating leave & license agreements, lease deeds, and sale transactions.
  • Working knowledge of RERA, municipal, and development authority regulations.
  • Experience handling property registrations, title verification, stamp duty, and due diligence processes.
