We are seeking a highly skilled VMware administrator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ability to quickly learn and implement VMware technology products and solutions, applying automation techniques to streamline processes.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance to ensure the VMware infrastructure is secure, maintaining compliance with industry standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and knowledge shared by the engineering team, continually improving the VMware environment.
  • Address security vulnerabilities and bug fixes in a timely manner, ensuring the infrastructure remains safe and secure.
  • Build and rebuild new VMware ESX cluster environments using automation solutions to meet business requirements globally.
  • Experience in testing, planning, and rolling out ESX security patches on complex ESX production environments and dedicated ESX clusters using vRO workflows.
  • Experience with vCenter patching to maintain infrastructure security.
  • Experience in planning and implementing ESX hardware evergreening activities on complex VMware environments, including vendor management and coordination with data center teams.
  • Deploy and manage ESX hosts, clusters, and vCenter.
  • Manage complex and large VMware environments, ESX hosts, clusters, and vCenter.
  • Optimize and remediate solutions on network port groups and standard vSwitches to align with group standards.
  • Manage cluster storage by procuring and configuring ESX datastores and troubleshooting related issues.
  • Proficiency in ESX capacity management, including vMotion migration activities in standard and internal cloud platforms.
  • Expertise in cluster features, including configuring HA/DRS to maintain cluster health.
  • Experience with vRO and Ansible, Puppet automation.
  • Foster a culture of change management, adhering to defined standards to ensure change quality is not compromised.

As a successful candidate, you will possess a strong background in VMware administration, with experience in implementing automation solutions and ensuring infrastructure security. You will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing performance, staying up-to-date with best practices, and addressing security vulnerabilities in a timely manner. Your expertise in managing complex VMware environments, deploying and managing ESX hosts, and optimizing network port groups will be valuable assets to our team.
