Automation Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with a Networking/Telecom background, strong automation expertise, and a passion for solving complex integration challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product teams to understand requirements and design test automation strategies.
  • Develop automation scripts using Python and shell scripting for large-scale systems.
  • Conduct integration testing with multiple components and ensure end-to-end functionality.
  • Perform Java application testing and automation in NMS/EMS environments.
  • Document test cases, prepare test plans, and provide detailed reports on execution results.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4-7 years of experience in automation engineering.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and hands-on knowledge of Linux/Unix shell scripting.
  • (Networking/Telecom expertise with experience in SNMP, NC-Y, and NMS/EMS systems.
  • Familiarity with Nokia Altiplano, Lightspan, Mediation, and Fiber Access equipment.
  • Proficiency in integration testing, Java application testing, and working in distributed systems.

Key Requirements:

  • Mastery of Python programming language.
  • Expertise in Linux/Unix shell scripting.
  • (Knowledge of Network Management Systems (NMS) and Element Management Systems (EMS).
